Missed This? Check Out Our Must-Reads From 2024

This week, we’re revisiting some highlights from the year including expert advice, how-to guides and think-pieces.

We’ll keep this one short and sweet – because no one needs to be looking at long emails over the holidays. However, for those looking for some gentle creative motivation over the festive period (or, save this for your first week back in January) we’re sharing below some of our favourite Learner Platform content pieces from the past year.

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has joined and stayed a part of the community here on the Learner Platform this year – your memberships directly support our team at BRICKS, and as an independent publication, we wouldn’t be able to publish the magazine without you.

Workshops

We have hosted a variety of online workshops via Zoom this year, on topics from photography to publishing to purpose-driven content creation. While these workshops are hosted live so that attendees can ask questions in real-time, we’ve published a round-up of best advice and tips from each workshop exclusively on the Learner Platform – explore below:

Feedback

This year, we’ve been thrilled to offer more new opportunities than ever before to Learner Platform members – from a Junior Styling role on the BRICKS print production team, to photographing Chappell Roan and Beabadoobee live on tour for BRICKS online, to shooting backstage at London Fashion Week.

We were floored by the 100s of applicants we’ve received for each opportunity, and while we are unable to provide each applicant with personal feedback, we have compiled some general feedback – if you have applied to any opportunity in the last year, we hope this provides some constructive advice for you:

How-To Guides

We have shared many ‘how-to’ guides this year – below is a selection of our team’s favourites:

Industry Insights

Finally, sharing below some of our favourite longer-read interviews from industry experts

There will be no Opportunities’ Board next week – see you back on Friday 3rd January.
