This year we have successfully campaigned for a European Health Union (Öffnet in neuem Fenster), and an online digital platform to widen participation in the Conference on the Future of Europe (Europe Future Fringe (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)).

Our European Green Card (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) proposal to ringfence citizens' rights has helped lead to the introduction of the EU's COVID Green Pass  to safeguard freedom of movement during the pandemic.

We are funded by subscriptions, donations and small grants. With your help we can do more.  If you have not yet done so, why not sign up as a member today?

You will be joining a great network of pro-Europeans, supporting our work to safeguard rights in Europe and making sure we all we all have a voice in the conversation about the future of Europe.

(NB: Europe is wider than the EU and you do not have to be an EU citizen or live in the EU to join New Europeans International. If you are already a member of New Europeans UK you are also an honorary member of New Europeans International and do not need to sign up twice).

Join our movement today (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)!

We have been asked by Amnesty International to pass on this article about how people who help refugees and migrants are being threatened, smeared, intimidated, harassed, and dragged through the courts to face punishment simply for helping others in need.

Projects and campaigns

European Republic Cafes

New Europeans is working with our partner organisation ACMOS (Turin),  on the EU-RE-CA project (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)to create a network of cafés across Europe which can be meeting points for pro-Europeans who want to discuss the future of Europe.

Photo: Acmos Turin  - a non-partisan association that promotes the inclusion and participation of young people in democratic life.

Our idea is to create a network of “European Republican Cafés” across Europe.

Cafés will be places where European citizens can regularly and informally meet, embody the European feeling and debate on the future of Europe.

In these cafés, debates will be organized on the proposal of the European Republic to collect ideas and values for a new European Constitution and implement proposals for new policies.

The meetings in the Cafés will also be an occasion to update citizens on the results of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

Assemblies of Solidarity

New Europeans is continuing to work with European Alternatives (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) and the Citizens Take Over Europe (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) alliance we co-founded on a series of public meetings in 10 EU member states arranged around three key themes: democracy and citizenship, health and prosperity, environment and climate change.

Earlier this year we held an event in Athens with the Greek Refugee Forum, asking migrants and refugees about the physical, mental and emotional  challenges they had faced during the pandemic.
