BRICKS is an independent queer led publication available in both print and online that is rerouting the intersections between fashion, art and our precarious social systems. For 6 years, our contributors have shared their experiences that has led to advocacy for turning battles, frustrations, and anxieties into meaningful and educational content.
Over the years we've aimed to shine a light and support the individuals that mainstream media too often ignores. We've celebrated the transformative experiences of motherhood, championed young drag kids and youth climate activists. We've also campaigned for a dire need for more accessible alternative education methods all while providing the resources for working-class and/or queer creatives to create their ideas.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand this is a precarious time for independent journalism. The majority of our revenue comes from our bi-monthly panel discussions, parties and IRL activations. Now, we need your support more than ever. We've never wanted to put up a hard paywall as we believe that everyone who shares their voice with us, should be open to our global audience. We also believe young working-class people deserve access to meaningful journalism.
By becoming a BRICKS community member, not only will it ensure our online content is still accessible to everyone, it will help protect our future, during and beyond the global Coronavirus pandemic.
As well as allowing us to continue to provide our audience with purposeful content, members will get special perks such as exclusive prints, first access to both print and digital cover stories and will be notified first for BRICKS events, have opportunities to receive free event tickets and save money on the bi-annual magazine.
