Kabir MacDow
Kabir is a Communities of Light consultant, author and developer.
He has been involved in Communities of Light for 45 years and is now working full-time on the Communities of Light project and giving workshops.
He also has over forty-five years of experience in education – elementary through junior college - and was one of the original developers of the Education for Life System, based on the writings of Paramhansa Yogananda.
Communities of Light
“Communities of Light” (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) will be published later this year and is a practical handbook for those wanting to:
Explore ways to set up a small, diverse, international community (residential or non-residential) based on higher values and principles;
Identify the relative strengths and weaknesses of an existing community, delving into ways to nurture the well-being and happiness of members, while fostering the self-sustaining aspects of the community as a whole.
Since the 1960s, an estimated 20,000 intentional communities or more have sprouted globally, each unique in its characteristics. The interest in community living is not just a trend - it is a dynamic movement now gaining momentum.
