Fingolfin’s Findings LXXI: One of the weirdest adaptations is ‘hiding’ at Lilly Library - John Boorman’s “Lord of the Rings”

For those of you who take a more serious interest in film and television adaptations of Tolkien’s writings the name John Boorman is not much of a mystery.

It is well-known that Boorman tried to film The Lord of the Rings (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) but failed.

For very good reasons.
