Baeza (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) is a small town in the south of Spain with a population of about 16,000 inhabitants. In the course of its history it became a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church, has a university and offers some incredibly fine architecture from the 16th century, including its cathedal, several churches, and a palace. Its twin city in France is Carcassone (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) and this should give you an idea what to expect (particularly if you like the amazing boardgame (Öffnet in neuem Fenster).) Not much of a surprise that Baeza was added to the World Heritage List of the UNESCO in 2003 under the heading of Renaissance Monumental Ensembles of Úbeda and Baeza (Öffnet in neuem Fenster).
