Help Keep Independent Print Going!

Hey dolls,

We don’t know if you’re aware, but consumer spend on print magazines has plummeted by 65% in the past ten years, with only one large scale magazine printing press left standing in the UK.

Print media is at the heart of everything Polyester does – print means having something beautiful to hold in your hand, to stick on your wall, to keep forever - an incredibly special, tactile experience that, as much as we love the internet and all the connection it brings, can’t be replicated.

As media has moved from largely from print objects to digital spaces to social media, we want to ensure the marginalised creatives we work with are platformed IRL as well as URL. Our members get free print zines each year as part of our dedication to keeping physical, inclusive representation on the page as well as on our screens.

We want to keep being able to produce these free zines for all of our members, but to do so we need your help. We rely on supporters to keep going, so we’re asking all of our lovely dolls to encourage likeminded friends or family members to sign up for a membership (Öffnet in neuem Fenster), which will see them receiving their annual free zines too.
