A Pride Weekend Edition
Agenda Edition #13 / 25.-28.07 / Current mood: Pride week(end)!
Hi, and welcome back to agenda - got plans?, a newsletter featuring a curated selection of art, design, and fashion events in Berlin. I'm Kate, a freelance journalist, Berlin local, and art lover. I hope my newsletter makes it a bit easier for you to navigate through everything this city offers.
How is your week going so far? Are you excited for the Pride Weekend? No matter if you’re attending the Berlin dyke* march, CSD, or decide to stay somewhere more quiet, here are some events I recommend checking out this weekend:
Rave in the garden of Hamburger Bahnhof
Check out a pride party in one of my favorite art galleries
Attend a workshop on radical self-expression
Celebrate Pride with Honey Dijon at Neue Nationalgalerie
Treat yourself to some delicious food at the Studio Schmaus Opening
#1 Tigerhead x Berlin Beats | Free Open-Air Rave
No plans for tonight yet? How about another round of Berlin beats? I love this event series, a free evening rave in the garden of Hamburger Bahnhof.
This week’s edition will be a set by Czech DJ Tigerhead: Known for her raw, unpredictable, and diverse sets, she has performed at Berghain, Griessmuehle, RSO, and ://about blank. Last summer, 50,000 visitors celebrated the electronic music culture at the event series, so if you plan to attend, be there on time!
Tigerhead x Berlin Beats
Thursday, 19:00-22:00
Location: Hamburger Bahnhof, Invalidenstraße 50, 10557 Berlin

#2 Pre-Pride Events at Platte Berlin
Platte Berlin has a huge Pride Week program full of events going on at the moment. On Friday afternoon, you can join drag artist Coco Klein for a workshop on radical self-expression and self-love through art, style, movement, and community.

Afterward, dive into queer expression even more with “Deserving Cake - The Queerdom Variety Show”: Enjoy performances by Monsterwhore, Vlady, Lawunda Richardson and Lilith the Quing. Both events are admission-free, but you have to sign up / RSVP beforehand to secure a spot. Once you’re there, don’t forget to look at the current exhibition “Intersection” featuring the works of Harriet Davey, Eda Phanlert SRIPROM, and Naomi Boima.

#3 Dittrich & Schlechtriem Pride Party with artist Lukas Städler | Dance, Drink, Snack
Join artist Lukas Städler on Saturday for a pride celebration at Dittrich & Schlechtriem gallery. You can visit his exhibition "Ouvertüre" before and after the parade, enjoying some drinks and snacks. Sounds great to me!
Pride Party at Ditttrich & Schlechtriem
Saturday, 10:00-19:00 (before and after the parade)
Location: Linienstraße 23, 10178 Berlin

#4 Pride Matinee at Neue Nationalgalerie
Apparently, no other than superbae Honey Dijon will host a Pride matinee on Sunday between 12:00 and 13:00 at Neue Nationalgalerie. A perfect opportunity to meet up with some friends, dance a bit, and use it as a starting point to join the parade at 13:00, isn’t it? The museum opens at 10:00, so if you’re interested in its current Andy Warhol exhibition, you could combine visiting the exhibition with the event. Sounds like a perfect itinerary to me!
Pride Matinee
Saturday, 12.00-13:00
Neue Nationalgalerie, Potsdamer Str. 50, 10785 Berlin
#5 Studio Schmaus Studio Opening | Food & Drinks
If you’re up for a relaxed Sunday afternoon, how about some food and drinks at the new Studio Schmaus? If you’re a fan of aesthetically pleasing food, you probably have stumbled across them on Instagram before. The culinary duo creates super fun-looking dishes, all veggie and regional.

Join them for their new studio opening with music, drinks, ice cream, affogato, and tacos on Sunday afternoon. No reservation needed! Me gusto.
Studio Schmaus Studio Opening
