I felt the sun today

On cloudy days, the morning often begins with a pink sky,

beams of sunlight touching the surface of the lake.

I can’t help but run outside,

be the person who can say,

I felt the sun today.

Her soft touch on my face,

while swimming in dark waters.

Lightning up my heart,

reminding me of the light within.

So I can carry it with me,

even on cloudy days.

Remember,

the sun always shines,

and so does your light.
