How to use It

Getting started with Steady recommendations is easy and intuitive. Check out this quick tutorial: 

The coolest part? Anytime you recommend a media maker on Steady, they receive an immediate notification, boosting the chances of you getting a recommendation back from them. And if you want to ask for a recommendation directly, you can connect with fellow media makers by joining our community on Slack (Abre numa nova janela). 

What to expect

Our early experiments showed a clear result – recommendations are a game-changer for expanding your reach. In the past six months, approximately 20% of new subscribers on Steady originated from the beta version of recommendations. For climate journalism newsletter Treibhauspost (Abre numa nova janela), this percentage surged to 71%. Treibhauspost journalist Manuel Kronenberg said:

We at Treibhauspost put a lot of heart and soul into our issues. There's hardly any time left to advertise and attract new readers. Steady is now doing this work for us.
