Fingolfin’s Findings LXXI: One of the weirdest adaptations is ‘hiding’ at Lilly Library - John Boorman’s “Lord of the Rings”

For those of you who take a more serious interest in film and television adaptations of Tolkien’s writings the name John Boorman is not much of a mystery.

It is well-known that Boorman tried to film The Lord of the Rings (Abre numa nova janela) but failed.

For very good reasons.

Thanks to Eru that we did not have to drain that cup of sorrow to the dregs. 😅
