Every event I recommend is one I plan to attend myself or would suggest to a good friend.

#1 Wanda Berlin Opening
When I started “agenda - got plans?” I promised myself: No food recommendations. Why? Because there are a billion food blogs around, and I want to focus on my niche, I guess. Anyhow, I love food and to break my own rules. So hear me out: There will be a new vegan and gluten-free brunch pop-up in town, called Wanda Berlin (Abre numa nova janela), founded by the two talented chefs Marion and Moritz. Their opening is on Friday (10:00-15:00 Brunch, 15:00-20:00 opening party).
I am by no means a brunch girlie, but I met Marion a few weeks ago when she (very last-minute) beautifully catered an event I organized. After I had a taste test of Marion’s food, I have no doubt you will get some freaking delicious food there!

#2 Trauma Bar Birthday Bash
If you read my previous newsletter, you know this is the party I am looking forward to the most this week. Trauma Bar is a cultural space for dance, video art and cinematography. For me, it’s a place where contemporary art, performance, music and club culture are still very authentic and raw. For its 6th birthday, there will be a big birthday bash taking place at one of Berlin's most underrated venues, the Metropol in Schöneberg. The building itself is a bomb! Try to get some tickets at their next RSVP round on Wednesday.
Trauma Bar und Kino: Private Party x Metropol
Friday, 24.05
Location: Metropol Berlin (Abre numa nova janela), Nollendorfplatz 5, 10777 Berlin-Schöneberg
Free entry for everyone who managed to RSVP quickly enough
More info and line-up here (Abre numa nova janela)
#3 Gmbh + Trussardi Sample Sale
GmbH is throwing sample sales twice a year in Berlin. This year, in addition to GmbH samples and archive pieces, they will offer hundreds of styles designed by Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Işık, during their time as Creative Directors at Trussardi. What to expect: Menswear and womenswear, bags, and shoes at fairly reduced prices.
Editor’s note: I went to the GmbH Sale twice last year. They had a great selection of reduced denim for men (like 100-150 € instead of 700€). It's more difficult for womenswear though. I would recommend going there in the beginning on Friday and/or Saturday in the early afternoon, as they usually do a restock on the second day.
GmbH / Trussardi Sample Sale
Fri- Sat, 24.05 - 25.05, 12:00 -19:00
Location: Gneisenaustraße 66, 10961 Berlin-Kreuzberg

#4 KINDL: Free guided tour with art educator Jeanne Mizero Nzakizabandi (GER)
If you’re up for some art this weekend, I suggest attending the thematic tour with Jeanne Mizero Nzakizabandi (Art educator and curator, Frankfurt / Main) at KINDL Berlin. It's in German and part of their „Ré-imaginer le passé“ exhibition. Admission is free.
About the project: The group exhibition developed in Dakar focuses on alternative forms of knowledge and knowledge transfer. In their installations, photographs and objects, participating artists explore how a decolonial perspective can shape our vision of the future. With art by Elsa M'Bala, Fatou Kandé Senghor, Caroline Gueye, Nathalie Anguezomo Mba Bikoro, Ibrahima Thiam, Viyé Diba, Mansour Ciss Kanakassy, Uriel Orlow, baobab création, C& Center of Unfinished Business.
Ré-imaginer le passé was first showcased at Musée Theodore Monod in Dakar in 2023. It is part of the TALKING OBJECTS LAB – a series of exhibitions, artist residencies and events held in Senegal, Kenya, Germany and other countries since 2020.

#5 Sunday Charity Market
On Sunday, Andreas Murkudis, one of Berlin’s most renowned retailers, is throwing a charity market. To support life-saving sea rescue efforts in the Mediterranean all proceeds will be donated to the aid organizations #LeaveNoOneBehind (Abre numa nova janela) and SOS Humanity.
On offer will be a selection of ready-t (Abre numa nova janela)o-wear, accessories, furniture, books, art, and beauty products for special prices. Everything is donated by partner brands, friends, and neighbors of Andreas Murkudis. I am still guessing what that means: It cou (Abre numa nova janela)ld be an assortment of very expensive new products, a PR stunt with samples or (!) the poshest flea market Berlin has experienced so far. Visit at your own risk, I guess. As the area around Potsdamer Straße is full of amazing galleries and cafés, you could combine a stroll over the charity market with some gallery hopping and aperitivo in the sun.
Sunday Charity Market at Andreas Murkudis
Sunday, 26.05, 12:00 - 18:00
Location: Potsdamer Strasse 81, 10785 Berlin-Schöneberg
++ Special: off-the-radar flea markets happening this weekend ++ Saturday, 25.05, flea market at Nettelbergplatz (S Wedding) , 11:00-15:00, more info here (Abre numa nova janela) +++ Sunday, 26.06, courtyard sale in Wilhelmsruh (63 courtyards are participating, find a digital map here (Abre numa nova janela)), 11:00 - 15:00 +++
