A taste of culture
A perfect way to spend a lovely Sunday afternoon, either with family, friends as a couple or enjoy by yourself.
I am very lucky to be only 30 minutes from ‘Rural Life Museum ‘ supported by the National Trust.
I recommend a visit to excellent well presented along with educational ,beautiful building only a 10 minute walk from ‘Glastonbury Tor’ and ‘Glastonbury High Street’ and fabulous way to entertain the day.
When arriving greeted by two extremely friendly well informed staff, who were happy to take me for a tour.(recommend)
It's a fantastic place for all ages and gives insight into #somersetlife. Along with an introduction into somerset and Glastonbury.
As well as the indoor galleries, the museum site has plenty of outdoor space to explore, including the beautiful 14th Century Abbey Barn in the museum courtyard, which forms the centrepiece for the site. The courtyard also offers seating for picnics and plenty of space for little visitors to run around. Just off the courtyard, visitors can discover our cider orchard; which includes the recently developed First World War style allotment, exploring Somerset on the Home Front.

The Market Garden Café serves a variety of hot and cold food and there is always tea and cake to finish off a great day out . Again offering plenty of seating and space to enjoy the incredible surroundings.
