Or: how our community plans to interact with the authors who will publish on ereb

One of the sections of our editorial policy document, which we asked our members to contribute to, concerns the interaction with the reporters. This is the result - so far - and it’s the basis we’ll use to send to people who will collaborate with ereb from now on, starting with the journalists who are developing the reportage on emigration from Belarus. 

Since the concept stage the ereb community has played a fundamental role: and this has also been the case in our first report too, which will be out in July (the members voted for their favourite subject among four proposals the editorial team put forward); community involvement will be even more crucial in future pieces. 

In the contract we’re asking collaborators to sign, the reporters and photographers commit to participating actively with the ereb community. Interactions with members is, in fact, an integral part of the services that the freelancers will provide to the project. 

We’re asking for engagement with the community before, during and after the fieldwork and the publication of the reportage. We’ll do this through Facebook live in the members’ only group, by sharing promo and exclusive materials and also through participation in the podcast Road to ereb (Si apre in una nuova finestra) (which, by the way, is taking place this week Friday 18 June at 17:00 CET; we’ll be talking with members and with Josè Miguel Calatayud, a freelance journalist, project director at Arena for Journalism in Europe, an entity that promotes collaborative, cross border journalism).

Ce que nous demandons à nos journalistes

Ou : comment notre communauté interagira avec les auteurs d'ereb. 

Dans le document détaillant la ligne éditoriale, auquel nous avons demandé à nos membres de contribuer, une place est faite à l'interaction avec les journalistes. Voyons ce que ça donne jusqu'ici. Il s'agit de la version que nous enverrons à toutes les personnes qui contribueront à ereb à partir de maintenant. À commencer par les journalistes qui travaillent actuellement sur notre reportage sur l'opposition biélorusse en exil. 

La Communauté d'ereb a joué un rôle fondamental depuis sa conception. C'est valable également pour le premier reportage qui sortira en juillet. Les membres ont voté pour leur sujet préféré parmi quatre propositions de l'équipe édito. L'implication de la communauté deviendra encore plus importante pour les futurs articles. 

Les journalistes s'engagent, à travers le contrat qu'ils signent avec nous, à interagir activement avec les membres d'ereb. Cela fait partie intégrante des services que les pigistes nous fournissent. 

Nous demandons un échange avant, pendant et après le travail de terrain et la publication du reportage. Comment ? À travers une discussion en direct sur Facebook réservée aux membres, le partage de contenus exclusifs, et la participation au podcast Road to ereb (Si apre in una nuova finestra). Cosa chiediamo ai nostri reporter

Ovvero: come la nostra comunità intende interagire con le autrici e gli autori che pubblicheranno per er

Uno dei capitoli del documento di missione editoriale a cui abbiamo chiesto di contribuire ai nostri membri è quello relativo all’interazione con i reporter. Questo è il risultato - finora - ed è ciò che chiediamo a chi lavorerà con ereb d’ora in poi, a partire da chi si sta occupando del reportage sull’emigrazione bielorussa.

Fin dall’ideazione del reportage la comunità di ereb gioca un ruolo fondamentale: è stato così nel caso del nostro primo reportage, in uscita a luglio (i membri hanno votato il loro tema preferito tra quattro proposte messe a punto dal team editoriale); sarà sempre più cruciale nei lavori futuri.

Nel contratto che chiediamo di firmare, reporter e fotografe/i incaricate/i  si impegnano a partecipare attivamente alle interazioni con la community di ereb. L'interazione con i membri è infatti parte integrante dei servizi che i professionisti forniscono al progetto.

Chiediamo di interagire con la comunità prima, durante e dopo il lavoro sul campo e la pubblicazione del reportage. Lo faremo attraverso FB live nel gruppo dei membri, la condivisione di anticipazioni e materiale esclusivo e infine con la partecipazione al podcast Road to ereb (Si apre in una nuova finestra) (in cui, a proposito, questa settimana nella puntata di venerdì 18 giugno alle 17.00 CET parleremo con Josè Miguel Calatayud, giornalista freelance, project director di Arena for Journalism in Europe, realtà affermata che promuove il giornalismo collaborativo crossborder, e con alcuni membri della comunità).
