What's been happening?

So what is this picture telling us?

There are a few grumpy (Elias, Ralf) and a few happy (Nicole, Dan) ERNST members in it – this being down to sleepless nights of songwriting during our annual Band Retreat in a mountain cabin near Murau, Styria.

The fresh mountain air, gorgeous views and friendly cows 🐄💚 inspired us to write five new songs for our upcoming album due to be released next year!

Work in progress

As promised, you get an exclusive sneak peak of one of our new songs. This time, it's a video of us playing "Anna" for the first time during band retreat in the cabin.

And yes, it probably was 2 a.m...

Behind the lyrics

In this part of the newsletter, we provide a cut-out of one of our songs and talk to you a little bit about the meaning behind the lyrics.

What's coming?

In mid-August, we've got another Songwriting Weekend in Hollabrunn (Lower Austria) lined up. The plan is to finish and record demos of all the newly born songs to get them ready for the album recording in early in 2024.

And then we've got some good and some bad news for you ...

• The bad news is that three ERNST members will be away on travels in autumn and therefore not available to play another gig in the next few months 🙁

• The good news is that we've already booked our next (charity) gig at Kramladen on 13th December! 🥳 Save the date, and we will be supported by the great dream pop band Lavandine (Opens in a new window). More information to follow.

A goodbye, but not for long...
