Another hot summer month has gone by... Let's hope for a lovely and mild autumn so our boiling brains can go back to normal! Somehow, we managed to survive AND record new demos in our overheated home studio. Check out the rest of the newsletter for a sneak peek.

What's been happening?

In August, we worked hard on finishing new demos which we started writing during our Band Retreat in June.

Over the past 14 years, Dan has become a musical tech nerd, building a little home studio here in Vienna. So that's where we record our demos before we take them to a professional studio.

Even though it was really hot (or maybe BECAUSE it was hot), we've refined ERNST's musical sound in the direction of what we like to call dreamy & dirty indie rock. You can almost see the musical sweat below:

Btw, playing the demos as a band accompanied by REAL drums instead of the programmed ones was a treat! 😍 We cannot wait to play them live for you! (On December 13th in Kramladen – save the date! 😉)

Work in progress

Here, you get an exclusive sneak peek of one of our new songs. It's a little video of the demo for "Don't Buy It", which could be released as part of next year's album. It was taken after the last band practice, on our way home. We couldn't resist going absolutely mental in the car...Dan kept his eyes on the road though 😉

What's coming?

Three members of the band are heading to the US and New Zealand for musical inspiration (and maybe an adventure on the side, who knows) in autumn.
