Fingolfin’s Findings LXV: The animated ‘Hobbit’ storyboards

In recent years the art market on all things pop culture has truly exploded. Comic Art Fans (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) is a website calling itself ‘galleries & marketplace’ which is a very telling concept - on the one hand people can show off their unique collections and some people will buy and sell when and where possible.

CAF is the premiere website in the world serving comic book and narrative art collectors, artists, auction houses, art dealers, and artist representatives.

Given the trillion dollar business that fantasy and science fiction books, art, and particularly conventions have become it is not surprise that this site is doing very well. Equity funding (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) was only the latest step in its development.

Having said this, you can see a lot of outstanding art there.

And this FF has to do with some particulary interesting pieces of art.
