Episode 52: Makkabi Make History And Tuchel Goes Nuclear
Dear listeners,
at the eve of the new Bundesliga season, traditionally German football kicks off with the DFB Pokal first round where upsets are the rule and teams from lower leagues can kick out Bundesliga teams. This year, Augsburg, Bremen and Christoph's VfL Bochum were the victims.
Meanwhile, Makkabi Berlin couldn't pull off the sensation and lost to VfL Wolfsburg. They can still call themselves winers, though, as the fifth division team were the first jewish sports team to take part in the DFB Pokal. Club boss Michael Koblenz is joining us to tell us how he experienced the last few weeks of media craziness for him and the club.
There's also been some craziness around Bayern München and Thomas Tuchel decided to hit the nuclear destruction button in his latest press conference after losing the Supercup to Leipzig on Saturday in Harry Kane's debut.
Then, of course, it's mailbag time!
Enjoy!
