Episode 51: Cup Preview and Harry Kane

tune in to our show today to get an introduction into the German FA Cup and Community Shield, DFB-Pokal and Super Cup, respectively, as those kick off the coming season this weekend with champions Bayern München and DFB-Pokal winners Leipzig playing for the Super Cup on Saturday evening, while the first round of DFB-Pokal takes place spread out over the weekend. The first round is the place for amateur clubs who made it through their regional qualification rounds, to take on clubs from the first and second Bundesliga at their home grounds, because the team from a lower league will always get home advantage in the DFB-Pokal.

Then we have to cover Bayern's transfer woes, with them still trying to sign Harry Kane as their Lewandowski-replacement at the time of our recording, as well as a goalie who is better than Yann Sommer but still willing to take a step back, when Manuel Neuer returns. That's a hard sell going into negotiations with interesting goalkeepers.

Last but not least, Christoph did some groundhopping in Finland he would like to tell us all about.
