Tin-Tin + Gods of Ink

This week, Seb sits down with legendary tattoo artist Tin-Tin at the Gods of Ink convention in Frankfurt. In this unfiltered, in-depth interview, Tin-Tin shares personal insights from over four decades in the tattoo world – from his beginnings in 1984 during military service in Berlin to becoming the president of the French Tattoo Syndicate, representing around 1,500 members today.

They discuss the evolution of the craft, the rise of social media, the saturation of the industry, and the struggles faced by veteran artists in an ever-changing landscape. Tin-Tin also reflects on his involvement in organizing major conventions like Mondial du Tatouage, and opens up about the challenges of sustaining quality events amid declining attendance.

Beyond tattooing, he talks about finding balance through gardening, caring for rescue dogs, and why he still holds on to hope for the future of the scene.
