The Quietus Tracks of the Year – A Bonus Playlist
We’re nearly at the end of a big year for The Quietus, with our regeneration done and dusted, readership going up, and yet more of our readers signing up to become subscribers – the support that we rely on to keep the lights on and keep paying our writers. We wanted to thank you all doing a bonus playlist this month, in the form of all the music featured in our Tracks of the Year list (Abre numa nova janela), links to which you can find below. This is in addition to the Albums of the Year playlist that went out at the start of the month (Abre numa nova janela), with a third playlist covering all the music we wrote about in November and December coming towards the New Year.
Our endless gratitude is due to everyone who has supported The Quietus in recent years – the site would not exist without you.
There’s still some more subscriber exclusive goodness to come this month – the Low Culture Essay by Travis Elborough on 1970s BBC darts documentary Arrows will be coming this week, an Organic Intelligence newsletter on Christmas doo-wop just before the big day, and then for Subscriber Plus tier members an exclusive live set from our Albums of the Year chart toppers Ex-Easter Island Head, recorded at the 2024 Acid Horse festival. If you want to get your hands on that and are currently just a Subscriber tier member, you can upgrade to Subscriber Plus here (Abre numa nova janela).
