Hello there!
I am Pablo Held (Abre numa nova janela), pianist, composer from Cologne, Germany.
Back in the summer of 2018 I started interviewing my musical heroes and peers, giving birth to the critically acclaimed interview series Pablo Held Investigates (Abre numa nova janela).
My conversation with the legendary Wayne Shorter (Abre numa nova janela) was the one that got the whole thing started. Since then I spoke with distinguished artists like John Scofield (Abre numa nova janela), Bill Stewart (Abre numa nova janela), Ben Monder (Abre numa nova janela), Joey Baron (Abre numa nova janela), Chris Potter (Abre numa nova janela), Norma Winstone (Abre numa nova janela), Dave Longstreth (Abre numa nova janela), Gabriel Kahane (Abre numa nova janela), Larry Goldings (Abre numa nova janela) and many more.
Without a doubt this is one of the biggest learning experiences of my life. It brings me great joy to see that people from all over the world have found meaningful insights in these conversations. I feel that sharing a learning-experience has the power to unite people from various backgrounds.
Producing, editing and promoting these interviews takes up a lot of time and energy besides my extensive touring schedule (Abre numa nova janela), teaching duties and time with my family. This is why I hope that you'll consider becoming a member to help me keep this project* going for a long time!
