No Means No!
You can choose something for yourself.
No means No.
Great.
There are many things I don’t want, but they still get done.
AGAINST MY WILL!
I don’t participate in most of them. And yet there are others who think I have to. I should. After all, it has always been that way. And if I don’t go along with it, then everything ends in chaos, death, and destruction.
If you say so.
Don’t make me laugh.
Pick something. Right out of your life. Something you don’t want to be a part of, something that definitely and indisputably happens against your will. Against your will, and thus directed against you and your life.
And then look: say no, and I bet you’ll hear something similar:
But if that weren’t the case, everything ends in chaos. That’s the downfall.
But in reality, it’s the fear of the unknown.
Am I afraid of the unknown? No. Because it’s completely unfounded. I love the unknown, the new. And what’s so bad about saying NO just because you want something new? Something that wasn’t there before?
A no often means that something has to go. That something has had its day. Something can go because it might be one thing: shit.
Is that so hard to understand?
I welcome the new.
When something goes that sucks, there’s room for something new. And so it is also the future. Or am I wrong about that now?
Whoever you are, whatever you do, find three of the most critical things in your life, three things that happen against your will, more than anything else, and say NO to them from now on.
Consistently.
What I can assure you is that you will also find a way to actually implement your no. It works. And do you know why? Because you can imagine it.
But it will sometimes go hand in hand with drastic changes. With saying goodbye. With change. So much so that it’s not surprising when your ego kicks in, in total fear and uncertainty.
But guess what?
Screw the ego.
It’s not easy – actually, it is – but it’s not really either, but there’s no way around it.
Because it’s your life. Your only life.
Let me congratulate you every now and then on your very first, real and true NO to something.
Let me know.
No means No.
