Talking menopause, misogyny and the HRT Lottery
A full and frank conversation about the good, the bad and the total BS of menopause, recorded at the Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival
Jen (left, obv) and me. Which one of these women hates having her picture taking more?!
Last week, I was lucky enough to appear at the Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival to talk menopause with my good friend Jennifer Crichton, founder of The Flock (Si apre in una nuova finestra), and a room full of brilliant women.
We discussed everything remotely menopause-related from mental health and misogyny to Tena ads and the mainstream media's antipathy to older women, the HRT postcode lottery, why so many perimenopausal women put a bomb under their lives, the power of invisibility and why women are no way, no how, not now, not ever going to shut up. And then, we thought, why not turn it into a podcast? So here it is, for your listening pleasure... Hope you enjoy.
