Language disclaimer: According to the conversation of our latest episode, we adapted all related postings into English. We provide a German summary at the very beginning of the episode.
❌ We recorded the episode shortly before the latest german federal election, which was certainly dominated by the subject of migration as the election campaigns from AfD and CDU used this topic to distract from other political issues, scare people and thus win their votes in an overly emotional way.
This populist approach is aimed to stir up hatred and incitement against people with a migratory background whilst offering false and supposedly simple solutions.
That’s why we are pleased to present a strong counter-narrative.
💡 Our latest guest - Steven Ken Ojo - talks about experiences of violence and death on one of the world's most dangerous refugee routes. That’s why we recommend listening to this episode with some quiet and perhaps not alone.

Being one of the lucky ones surviving his journey to Europa, he swore himself to spread information to people in Africa who may be considering making their own journey to Europe. To tell them what this journey is really like, what dangers exist and what it is like to arrive in Europe.
As the title of his latest book says “Think twice, before you risk your life”, this route is deadly for most people and certainly traumatic. And it does not end with one's first step in Europe.

We really recommend reading his book as we certainly learned a lot.
To do so just get in touch with Steven and he will gladly share his story with you. His contact details are listed below.
📹 Steven is also active on TikTok (Si apre in una nuova finestra). This is where he does educational work on the circumstances in which refugees have to live in Europe and where he offers direct help by answers questions on a daily basis.
In doing so, he gives many racially discriminated against people a voice.
We were very moved by the conversation with Steven and hope that his voice will reach many people. ❤️
📞 Urgent call for donations 💸
To turn his mission into reality Steven will soon again travel back to Africa. His goal is to distribute as many copies of his book as possible.
Every € can help in doing so. That’s why we recommend donations onto the following bank account.
