Hello there!
I am Pablo Held (Si apre in una nuova finestra), pianist, composer from Cologne, Germany.
Back in the summer of 2018 I started interviewing my musical heroes and peers, giving birth to the critically acclaimed interview series Pablo Held Investigates (Si apre in una nuova finestra).
My conversation with the legendary Wayne Shorter (Si apre in una nuova finestra) was the one that got the whole thing started. Since then I spoke with distinguished artists like John Scofield (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Bill Stewart (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Ben Monder (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Joey Baron (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Chris Potter (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Norma Winstone (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Dave Longstreth (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Gabriel Kahane (Si apre in una nuova finestra), Larry Goldings (Si apre in una nuova finestra) and many more.
Without a doubt this is one of the biggest learning experiences of my life. It brings me great joy to see that people from all over the world have found meaningful insights in these conversations. I feel that sharing a learning-experience has the power to unite people from various backgrounds.
Producing, editing and promoting these interviews takes up a lot of time and energy besides my extensive touring schedule (Si apre in una nuova finestra), teaching duties and time with my family.
