What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve recently seen or experienced?

Hi, this is Verena (Opens in a new window), and this is the first newsletter I’m sending out from STEADY, the home of the new CREATRIX School membership programme (Opens in a new window).

You are receiving this newsletter because you previously signed up to either my personal, the Generous Life Movement (Opens in a new window), Sustainable Business Directory (Opens in a new window) or Transnational Queer Underground newsletter - as I’ll be weaving all these wonderful projects together a bit more in the future.

While the Transnational Queer Underground (Opens in a new window) does not exist any more, everything that I do focuses on creating a more just and equal world for all - and especially my coaching offers and courses are created for people of all genders and will always be queer, as in challenging heteronormativity ;)

I’m attempting to send out a weekly newsletter, we’ll all see if I’ll live up to this challenge now, and I’ll tell you a bit more about what you can expect here in a second, so you can make an informed decision if this is the right thing for you.

If not, I still love you and wish you all the best, always! <3

We all live busy lives and need to focus.

So I appreciate you making the best decisions for yourself.

But if you decide to stay on, I promise you I won’t waste your time.

To start, let me ask you the question from the title again:

What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve recently seen or experienced?

I honestly often find it difficult to answer this question because a lot of the beauty I see daily seems so insignificant compared to all the suffering that is going on in the world.

The first flowers that were brave enough to stick their heads out of the ground in the last couple of days, the beautiful and delicate ice flowers that welcomed me ever morning on my window not that long ago, a day of sunshine and blue skies, walks, talks, plays, music, lovely company, good food, the sound of laughter.

But they are just as meaningful and as much a part of life and reality and truth as are the wars and the uncertainties many of us are facing.

One of the most useful things I’ve learned in the past is that catastrophes are often more traumatizing for those who watch them in front of a TV, or hear and read about them in the news, than for those who are present.

Because our body has a system to help us cope with extreme and stressful situations, when we’re in them, but this system doesn’t kick in when we’re not actually physically present.

So it’s up to us to decide where we look and for how long, and take care of our mental health that way and to really train ourselves to see the whole picture.

And I think this picture illustrates this very nicely.

A rabbit, ox and boy gather around a table drinking tea and say: "What will you wish for tonight?" asked the Rabbit.
"An end to all suffering," replied the Ox.
"And more mooncakes," said the Boy. (Opens in a new window)

Looking at the positive things, like mooncakes, or flowers, or whatever warms your heart, does not mean turning away from the suffering, it just means that we learn to see that both are equally important aspects of our lives and the current realities.

Only when we take time and consciously look at all of it, not just what gets most air time, we get a picture that represents the truth a little more realistically.

Just think about all the beautiful people trying to create change, creating art, music, who are writing, making films, or are working hard to be there for others in supermarkets, in public places, in organisations, hospitals, working for human rights and peace, keeping up the infrastructure, working on themselves to feel better and do better and being kind and patient and loving to themselves, their surroundings and even strangers.

Lots of bad things are happening, but I see more and more good coming out as well. How about you?

What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve recently seen or experienced?

For now, each newsletter will contain inspirational content, a good reminder, something fun, joyful, and true in a world so dominated by bad news.

And I will send out the links to the three lessons I publish each week for the CREATRIX School (Opens in a new window).

If you don’t yet know what the CREATRIX School (Opens in a new window) is, you can find out more on my website (Opens in a new window).

But in short: For four weeks each, we look at 13 different topics, each covering one of the most important areas of our lives, to bring in clarity, confidence and connection.

The next chapter on Self-Actualization (Opens in a new window) will start tomorrow, and you can already have a look at the first lesson and read the introduction (Opens in a new window) now.

If you’d like to join, you can do so here on the STEADY platform (Opens in a new window).

Other topics we have covered so far are Body (Opens in a new window), Family (Opens in a new window), Purpose (Opens in a new window), Friendships (Opens in a new window), Home (Opens in a new window), Growth (Opens in a new window), Relationships (Opens in a new window) and Rest (Opens in a new window).

The topics coming up in the next couple of months are Community (Opens in a new window), Food (Opens in a new window), Mindfulness (Opens in a new window) and Abundance (Opens in a new window).

I started the CREATRIX School (Opens in a new window)because over the years I have learned so much about how we can all thrive and live much happier and healthier lives by making just a few simple changes in our lives - no matter where we are - and because I know that a lot of people cannot afford to pay for a personal coach, but will get the same benefits from this course.

Each chapter of the CREATRIX School (Opens in a new window) comes with a playlist, a recipe (Opens in a new window), a new ritual (Opens in a new window) and a new practice (Opens in a new window), so it really involves all our senses and helps us to make the changes stick - and it invites you to get to know yourself better, discover your unique superpowers, gifts and talents - so you can begin to shine even more and brighter than you already do.

And if you’d like to get even more of an idea about the things we do, you can download this Wheel of Life worksheet (Opens in a new window) and answer some questions about your life, just for yourself, to find out how bumpy your ride through life currently is and what area of your life might enjoy some improvements the most, to make your ride through life more smooth.

Over time, I’ll add more to the newsletter from the Sustainable Business Directory (Opens in a new window) (so we can support each other’s businesses), the Generous Life Movement (Opens in a new window) (because we are stronger together), my upcoming book (Opens in a new window) and Archetypes Oracle Cards (Opens in a new window) set or the Wheel of Colours (Opens in a new window), but mostly I’m creating this newsletter to bring you some clarity, love, inspiration and joy at a time when I think we all long to come closer together in peace and unite and stand strong to show the world what we are capable of and how we can actually live together peacefully, respectfully and lovingly.

If you have any questions, ideas to collaborate, or just want to say hi - I always love to hear from you.

And of course, I’d love to personally welcome you as a new member of the CREATRIX School.

For today, I wish you a pleasant evening and great start to the week.

Love, Verena (Opens in a new window)
