Perceptions & Misperceptions.

All of us have a view of the world that is shaped by our own beliefs and past experiences. So if you haven’t heard a lot about neurodivergence, it’s tricky to perceive neurodivergent individuals in an accurate way.

This is exacerbated by the fact that societal views at large are relatively ableist and unaccommodating of neurodivergent individuals. It’s impossible not to pick up on this messaging as you grow up, whether you’re neurodivergent or neurotypical.
