Ende der 1970er hat mein Vater mich als kleines Kind mit dem Modellbahnhobby infiziert. Seitdem gab es einige kleine Anlagen, die ich gebaut habe. Manchmal aus Platzmangel in Spur N und wenn es der Platz zu lies auch in Spur H0.
Aufgrund der Familienplanung habe ich sämtliche Anlagen vor einigen Jahren abgebaut, der Wunsch nach einer Anlage blieb jedoch weiter bestehen.
Seit Jahren helfe ich meinem Schwiegervater immer gerne beim (Aus)Bau seiner Anlage.
Schon lange gab es Überlegungen, eine Anlage in einer Garage, einem Hobby-Raum oder einer kleinen Halle zu erschaffen.
Kleine Bastelprojekte für Modellbahnen, ließen mich immer wieder an dem Hobby schnuppern.
Als ich 2021 völlig überraschend eine Märklin-Anlage mit viel rollendem Material geerbt habe, gab dies einen erneuten Anstoß zur Planung einer eigenen Anlage.
Das Ziel ist es, eine möglichst große Anlage in H0 zu erstellen. Vielleicht entwickelt sich daraus sogar eine kleine Schauanlage (ein Traum!), vielleicht kann ich bei entsprechender Unterstützung auch mehr Zeit investieren (größerer Traum) und vielleicht kann sie auch besucht werden.
Bis ich einen geeigneten Raum gefunden habe und das eigentliche Projekt der Modellbahnanlage starten kann, stehen meine Bauprojekte rund um die Modelleisenbahn im Vordergrund. Außerdem werde ich das ganze rollende Material ausführlich vorstellen. Dafür werde ich eine sich drehende kleine Anlage bauen, auch dazu wird es einen Baubericht geben. Berichte und Videos werden in unregelmäßigen Abständen veröffentlicht, jedoch mindestens zwei bis drei mal pro Monat.
Die finanzielle Unterstützung ist dafür da, um eine größtmögliche Anlage zu erschaffen und dafür einen Raum zu finanzieren. Da fallen Ausgaben für Miete, Nebenkosten, Versicherung, aber auch für den Bau an sich etc. an. Ich finanziere von meiner Seite das Vorhaben, zu dem Teil, der nicht unterstützt wird und gebe von meiner Seite meine Zeit und das vorhandene Gleis- und rollende Material mit ein. Letzteres wird ggfs. auch erweitert werden. Bis es mit der Anlage losgeht, werden Ausgaben für die Materialien genutzt.

Entwicklung eines multifunktionalen Reinigungswagens und eines Fallschutzes für Gleiswendeln – mit detaillierten Bauberichten.
7. Konfigurierbare Zuganzeige für den Bahnhof
LED-Displays mit Arduino – interaktive Anzeigen für Bahnsteige oder Werbezwecke. Erste Prototypen sind bereits im Einsatz.
8. Besuchsberichte anderer Anlagen
Ausstellungen, Börsen und private Layouts – mit Bildern und kurzen Erfahrungsberichten.

“Modellbahntraumwelt” (literally: “Model Railway Dream World”) is the name of a dream model railway layout in H0 scale that is set to be built in Cologne. More About the Project & Its Goals:
Back in the late 1970s, my father introduced me to the world of model railroading when I was just a small child – and I’ve been hooked ever since. Over the years, I’ve built several small layouts. Sometimes I had to use N scale due to space limitations, but whenever possible, I chose H0.
A few years ago, I dismantled all my layouts due to family planning and space constraints. Still, the dream of building something bigger never left me. For several years now, I’ve been supporting my father-in-law with the construction and expansion of his layout – something I still really enjoy.
For a long time, I’ve been thinking about building a layout in a garage, a hobby room, or even a small hall. I’ve continued to tinker on smaller modeling projects in the meantime, which has kept my passion for the hobby alive.
Then, in 2021, something unexpected happened: I inherited a Märklin layout, complete with a large amount of rolling stock. That was the spark that reignited my vision of creating a layout of my own.
The goal is to build the largest possible H0 layout. Who knows – maybe it will even grow into a small exhibition layout (a dream!), and if I get enough support, I may even be able to dedicate more time to it (a bigger dream!). And maybe – just maybe – one day it could even be open to visitors.
Until I’ve found the right space and the actual layout build can begin, I’ll focus on smaller railway-related construction projects and give you a detailed look at all the rolling stock. I’ll be building a rotating presentation platform for that purpose – and of course, there’ll be a build report for it too. Posts and videos will be published irregularly, but at least two to three times per month.
Your financial support will help make this dream layout a reality and contribute toward funding a suitable space. That includes costs for rent, utilities, insurance, and of course materials and construction. I’ll be investing both my own time and existing equipment into the project – including track and rolling stock – and covering all costs not met through external support. The rolling stock may also be expanded over time. Until the layout construction begins, all funds will be used exclusively for materials and smaller build projects.
