Tomorrow (Friday 21 Feb) we will release our new single, “No, Virginia, no!” — join our feminist social media campaign alongside it!

Why “No, Virginia, no”?

Nearly 100 years ago, the English writer Virginia Woolf wrote in her famous essay "A Room of One’s Own":

“In 100 years, I thought … women will have ceased to be the protected sex.”

While much has changed over the past century, the fight for true equality is far from over.

In many parts of the world, women enjoy freedoms that were unthinkable in Woolf’s time. But we still have a long way to go. Abortion in Austria is technically still illegal. By November 1st, 2025, men will have already earned as much as women do in an entire year. In 2024 alone, 25 women lost their lives to femicide in Austria.

No, Virginia, no! is our rallying cry. It’s a campaign to reflect on how far we’ve come—and to shine a light on how much further we still need to go.

In the current political climate, when the rights of women and the LGBTQI+ community are under renewed threat, this campaign is a call to action, a collective voice of protest and hope – even across country borders.

How you can be a part of it

Whether you’ve experienced inequality firsthand or want to raise your voice as an ally, we encourage you to share your experiences and frustrations in your message to “Virginia”.

Along with our single, we’re posting the first “No, Virginia, no!” video as an Instagram reel & TikTok video.

We’re inviting you to join us by recording your own short video about what you might want to say to Virginia. Here are some examples:

“No, Virginia, no! I still get harassed when I walk down the street.”
“No, Virginia, no! My friend still can’t express their gender and sexuality freely.”
“No, Virginia, no! My industry is still dominated by old white men.”

Tag us in the video and use #NoVirginiaNo so we get to see it and share it as well. And if you are feeling creative, please go ahead and use our song No, Virginia, no! in the background.
