5 Things We Learned During Our Podcast Production

This week, BRICKS founder, Editor-in-Chief and podcast host Tori West and Deputy Editor Maddy Reid share their top tips for podcasting.

Hey everyone, we hope you've had a great week so far. I can't believe it's almost February – this month has certainly sped past in the BRICKS office, no doubt due to the production of our new podcast series.

The BRICKS I Did That Podcast powered by TikTok has been the largest project we've produced at the magazine to date, and with it came new challenges to face and overcome. We shot 7 podcast episodes in one set across two days, with new team members to meet, new equipment to use and new skills to acquire. We'd never worked on a video production, on a live-streamed project or with RSS feeds, Spotify and Youtube Studio before, so it has been one wild ride. But we're never ones to shy away from a challenge, and a big shout out to our director Carys (Opens in a new window) and to Victoria (Opens in a new window) and James who came on board to support this project's video and audio recording and editing so excellently.

Below, Tori and Maddy share some tips and advice for video podcast production.
