How To: Get Accredited For Fashion Weeks

This week, the BRICKS team shares how to get accredited to cover fashion weeks around the world as press, a content creator or a backstage photographer.

With the highly awaited (and dreaded) fashion month approaching, in the spirit of anti-gatekeeping the BRICKS team has put together a quick guide to gain access to fashion week shows as an industry professional.

The best route is getting accreditations, which are reserved to members of the press, photographers, stylists, buyers, content creators and social media influencers. In order to obtain accreditations, you have to go through an application process that varies depending on the city and is normally provided by industry governing bodies like the British Fashion Council (BFC), Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana (CNMI) and The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM). Nevertheless, remember that accreditation doesn’t automatically guarantee entry to the shows, which is ultimately the brand’s PR or in-house press team’s decision.
