The Untold Story of Black Women in the Black Panther Party

Hey Family,

You know how we always say that history is more than just the names they teach us in school? Well, this time, we’re diving deep into a story that doesn’t get nearly enough shine—the Black women of the Black Panther Party.

We all know Malcolm X, Stokely Carmichael, and Huey Newton. But what about Kathleen Cleaver, Angela Davis, Assata Shakur, Ericka Huggins, Elaine Brown, and Afeni Shakur? These women weren’t just supporting characters in the struggle. They were leaders, strategists, and revolutionaries who took the fight for Black liberation to the frontlines.

🔥 They fed children when the government wouldn’t.
🔥 They organized legal defenses when the system tried to bury us.
🔥 They put their lives on the line so that we could stand a little taller today.

And yet, their stories are often pushed to the background.

Well, not today.

So please take a moment to check out the episode.

I’d love to hear your thoughts: Which Black women in history inspire you the most? Drop a comment and let’s talk.
