Final 2024 Post, plus a discount and a giveaway…

It’s that time of year again when tinsel, twinkling lights and tankards of Glühwein help make the monochromes of winter bearable. 

Accordingly, we’ve recently published some festive posts—an update on our favourite Christmas Markets (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) this year, and an associated reel (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) or two (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) on Instagram.

But our final post of the year is about exploration.

More specifically, it’s a selection of Abandoned Berlin’s favourite local Berlin places (Öffnet in neuem Fenster), which range from former WW2 and East Germany / Red Army sites, as well as a Zombie hospital, a derelict train station and a couple of local classics in the shape of Teufelsberg and Spreepark; the latter being the place that kicked the whole Abandoned Berlin project off.

I’ve known head chef Gal Ben Moshe since he opened his first restaurant (Glass) back in the day and can personally vouch for his delicious and constantly creative Levantine-oriented cuisine. It was no surprise when he—along with his sommelier wife and partner Jacqueline Lorenz—won a well-deserved Michelin star in 2020.

To support what we do here at STB, Gal and Jacqueline are offering a free meal for two that would normally cost 99 euros per person.
