Reigate Tunnel Beer Festival is back on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 May, in Reigate's Tunnel Road, after an absence since 2019 owing to Covid.

First held in 2016, the event raises money for good causes, through Redhill Redstone Rotary, with local businesses sponsoring the various ales.

More details including a list of the beers can be found on the Ale for Aid website (Öffnet in neuem Fenster).

To mark the coronation, on the three evenings over the weekend (Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May) the team from the Harlequin theatre lit up the windows of the town hall in royal purple.

On the Saturday, King Charles' royal cypher was also displayed on the building's tower, using a 'gobo' projector light.

In the town centre, Union Jacks flew, after being put up by volunteers from Reigate Business Guild.

Residents throughout the town also held various street parties over the long weekend, having applied for road closure permission from the borough council under a free scheme.
