The Tempi Snowball

This is a summary of our weekly round-up from Greece.

A bombshell report by TO VIMA newspaper revealed that the conversation incriminating the station master for the Tempi train crash resulted from altered and stitched-together audio logs. The montage happened shortly after the accident. 

The report caused opposition parties to back a no-confidence vote for the government. Ruling ND survived the vote, yet not without losses. 

At the same time, ND officials make one after another provocative statement as to crash. After all, what can one expect in a country where people prioritized editing the truth while rescuers were still collecting dead bodies? Or parts of them.
