Tabular (Opens in a new window), founded in 2024, is an AI-powered software for DATEV accountants and accounting firms that minimizes time-consuming and repetitive processes in accounting, giving them more time to focus on their clients.

Backed by Y Combinator, Tabular raised a pre-seed round of 500.000 dollars in September 2024.

Tabular comes with a strong founding team, consisting of experienced people from Taxfix (Tim Hermes & Kilian Justus), Trade Republic (Markus Jungnickel) and Hive (Leonard von Kleist).

☝️ Correction

Last week, we linked to an article about the topic of digital trade tax assessment notice with a description that claimed it was the first ever sent by a German municipality. Thanks to a comment from one of our readers we can now say that that was wrong: The first digital Gewerbesteuerbescheid in Germany was already sent out in January 2024 in Rostock, Germany.
