Songwriting Magazine Podcast: ‘Nashville Cats’

Aaron and Duncan close the chapter on the Nashville issue (Opens in a new window) by reflecting on the highlights of the trip they took to Music City back in July last year…

In this special episode, the pair take turns to list five highlights from the trip. From Aaron having to eat all the food that Nashville could throw at him, to enjoying live music at the iconic Bluebird Café, and taking a behind-the-scenes store of Jack White’s Third Man Records, they really did make the most of their time in Music City.

But it wasn’t a holiday for holiday’s sake. As the city most mentioned by the songwriters we’ve interviewed over the years, our trip was a chance to see for ourselves why it’s such a fertile place for creativity and chat with some of the people who are trying to make it in this competitive “ten-year town”.

So, if you’ve always wanted to go to Nashville and are looking for a few tips, or just interested to know what we got up to on our trip last year, tune in now.

We’d also love to know your Nashville highlights, or hear any songs you’ve written that have been inspired by Tennessee’s capital. Send your thoughts and tunes over to podcast@songwritingmagazine.co.uk (Opens in a new window)
