Vilapa Kusumanjali verse 5 – The beauty of Sri Caitanya
In verse 5, Ananta das Babaji describes the sweet relationship between Srila Raghunath das Goswami and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, how they met the first time and later on, how Raghunath, coming from an aristocratic family and having a beautiful wife, left everything for taking shelter at Mahaprabhus lotusfeet, how he entered renunciation more and more and many sweet pastimes in the prakat leela.
Verse 5
»I worship the moonlike Lord Caitanya, who, with the ropes of His mercy, suddenly pulled me out of the deep waterless well of household life, which is so difficult to come out of, and is full of limitless suffering, gave me shelter at the tips of His feet, that defeat the beauty of lotus flowers, and entrusted me into the care of Śrī Svarūpa Dāmodara.«
Verse 4-6 are about the relationship to the spiritual masters. This is necessary to set the right attitude and approach to the higher realms of bhakti.
In verse 7 Raghunath das Goswami will start with the leela smaran, his meditation about the service as Tulasi Manjari in the aprakat leela in Rādhā-dāsya.
