WEBINAR: How to run a fashion brand with Pristine founder Kathryn Hewitson

Join BRICKS Magazine & London-based fashion designer and Pristine founder Kathryn Hewitson on Tuesday 21st January at 7pm GMT for a 60-minute online webinar on how to get your start-up fashion brand off the ground.

In this workshop, Kathryn will cover:

• Her background - including her advice on attending university versus being self taught and getting experience in other businesses.

• How to launch your brand - from how she got started, the thought process, the basics of building a range, including advice on sourcing, websites, registering your company.

• How to promote your brand - including marketing, PR, press loans, social media, photoshoots, pros and cons of runway shows, and collaborations.

• How to sell your products - including direct-to-consumer versus wholesale, finding stockists, made-to-order vs stock, costing & margins, pop-ups & markets, and utilising online platforms.

Kathryn Hewitson (Abre numa nova janela) is a celebrated fashion designer based in London. Hewitson has previously worked for Roksanda and Ashley Williams before joining Rokit Originals as Head of Design. In 2021, Kathryn launched her own label, Pristine (Abre numa nova janela). Inspired by vintage glamour and punk tenacity, the brand celebrates feminine sexuality, subculture and craftsmanship. 

Since its inception, Pristine has steadily garnered a loyal following across social media and in London’s fashion it-girl circles, including viral fashionista Julia Fox (Abre numa nova janela), punk icon Amy (Abre numa nova janela) of Amyl and the Sniffers (Abre numa nova janela), and drag artist Dakota Schiffer (Abre numa nova janela). As the brand has grown, Kathryn has become an outspoken advocate for independent designers and the difficulties they face.
