In May 2024, we shared four territorial future blog posts. Two posts look at trends towards 2040 and their spatial implications. The other two blog post have more a of policy focus addressing debates about the future of the European Single Market and Cohesion Policy.

The report assesses the current state of the Single Market and proposes strategic reforms. The vital role of delivery systems and budget allocation is the topic of our latest post on the debate about the future Cohesion Policy. Cohesion Policy and its delivery system must evolve to align with the changing socio-economic governance landscape of the EU, and its budget post-2027 should increase.
