In June 2024, we shared three blog posts about territorial futures. Just before the European Parliament elections, we wrote about our expectations. Another blog post reflected on the 9th Cohesion Report and the need for more place-based policies. The third blog post dived into the territorial dimension of the Metaverse.

Is there a territorial dimension to the Metaverse? The Metaverse seems to promise a future where digital and physical realities converge. It might present opportunities for enhancing territorial cohesion in the EU, but it also needs careful management and proactive policy interventions to make sure that all regions and communities can benefit equitably. Balanced territorial development and the triple transition. The 9th Cohesion Report gives us insights into future strategic orientations. Policy strategies, coordination and cooperation are crucial for effective governance. A future-wise European Parliament. As people across Europe discussed their choices, hopes and expectations for the European Parliament election from 6 to 9 June, we put in a plea for a strong pro-European and future-wise European Parliament. The plea probably needs to be renewed when the parliamentarians take up their work after the summer break. (Read (Si apre in una nuova finestra))
