May 8, 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of Nazi rule. We would also like to take this day as an opportunity to show how important a culture of remembrance is. Malawi: Digital education promotes learning progress
In Malawi, schools are using tablets provided by the government to help children learn better. Equipped with special learning software, the children can practise reading, writing and maths at their own pace. Initial tests show: Reading, writing and arithmetic skills are improving. Source: BBC

Solar obligation for new homes in England
The British government has announced that newly built houses in England are to be equipped with solar panels. Over the next two years, all new buildings are to be equipped accordingly. Government subsidies will be made available for the conversion costs. Source: THE GUARDIAN

Munich ranked world's best city for getting around on foot

A research team at the University of Waterloo in Canada has developed MotionBlocks, a program that enables people with disabilities to participate in virtual reality games.
