Agenda Edition #22 / 04.-07.09 / Current mood: Stay inside (but not at home)
Hi, and welcome back to agenda - got plans?, a newsletter featuring a curated selection of art, design, and fashion events in Berlin. I'm Kate, a freelance journalist, Berlin local, and art lover. I hope my newsletter makes it a bit easier for you to navigate everything this city has to offer.
How’s it going? I hope the grey skies and cold haven’t got you too down—because that’s Berlin life for the next eight months. It’s officially the season of indoor events, weekend-long clubbing, and the shared smiles between dog owners braving the weather three times a day, every day. Hang in there!
That being said, here are a few events I recommend checking out this weekend:
#1 Check out Clemens Porikys at Studio 1111
Clemens Porikys, a Berlin-based photographer known for his celebrity portraits and editorial work for well-known magazines, is showcasing his new video work Quell. This piece explores the dynamics of transformation and identity, narrating the constant flow and inseparability of humans from the forces that surround them—filmed both day and night at a lake in Brandenburg. After the exhibition, the female collective G3, who collaborated on the artwork, will take over the dance floors at Studio 1111. Be sure to RSVP (Si apre in una nuova finestra) for this event!
Clemens Porikys at Studio 1111
Friday, 04.10, 19:00
Location: Potsdamer Str. 96, 10785 Berlin
Entry after 22:00: 15€

#2 Watch the "Music & Couture” Programme at Female Filmmakers Festival
Picture via Female Filmmakers Festival
Enjoy two hours of shorts and music videos at the Female Filmmakers Festival at Movimento Kino in Kreuzberg. Step into a world where music and fashion collide, with works crafted by female filmmakers. If, like me, you miss the days of watching music videos on MTV all afternoon or stumbling upon Fashion TV, this is for you! The collection highlights innovative storytelling through sound and style. Just a heads-up—the cinema is super small, tickets are limited!
Female Filmmakers Festival: Shorts & Music Videos Programme
Friday, 04.10, 19:00 - 21:00
Location: Moviemento Kino Berlin, Kottbusser Damm 22, 10967 Berlin

#3 Shop Vintage Gems at the Halleluja Yard Market …
I’ll definitely be stopping by Halleluja Berlin this Saturday to check out their yard sale, where all items are priced between €5-25. In my opinion, it’s one of the best vintage stores in Berlin, and I’m really hoping the yard sale will live up to my expectations. Arrive early to get your hands on the best finds, but …
#4 … and stay for the Afrobodega Pop-up
… there’s more happening at the same location after the yard sale: the Afrobodega Pop-up kicks off at 19:00. If you’ve ever been to one of their events, you know they don’t mess around. The performances and music acts are always a 10/10, and the crowd is just as great. Stick around to enjoy some fantastic music and check out the latest Afrobodega collection.
Halleluja Berlin Yard Sale and Afrobodega Pop-up
Saturday, 05.10, 12:00-18:00

#5 Finish the weekend with the exhibition “Side Quest Romance” by tattoo artist and painter Oscar Juul-Sørensen

Wrap up the weekend with a relaxed stroll through Neukölln and stop by the art space Backhaus Projects to see Side Quest Romance, the new solo exhibition by @nobodyputsbabyinthec0rner (aka Oscar Juul-Sørensen). While the Vernissage is on Friday, I’m planning to drop by on Sunday for a more chilled experience amidst all the weekend buzz.

P.S. I’m still figuring out the best way to manage agenda – got plans? for October, so I might not publish it every week, or perhaps only in a shorter format. Since these picks are never sponsored and I’m currently moving flats while also working full-time, I’m exploring a concept that works for me.
If you enjoy agenda – got plans? and want to see it grow, you can support my work with a membership for just €3/month. Your support will give me more time to research and create new content, such as interviews and in-depth stories.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
