Nine days celebrating the divine feminine begin today

Today is the start of the Nine Days of the Goddess Festival, (‘Nav’ means nine and ‘Ratri’ means nights) celebrating the Mother Goddess Maa Durga.
Navratri is a joyous celebration of divine feminine power, emphasising strength, compassion and protection and the triumph of good over evil.

Each of the nine days is also associated with a different form of the Goddess and a different colour. The themes and practices for each day vary accordingly:
