Quietus Playlists: October 2022

TGreetings all, here's your monthly quick update on all things tQ and your regular subscriber-only playlists. Apologies if it's a brief one but I (Luke) have a baby yelling behind me and demanding to have a go on the keyboard and you really don't want to read his hieroglyphs. Hopefully you've found and read Stephanie Phillips of Big Joanie's excellent essay on PJ Harvey's Reeling DVD, if not you can read it here (Opens in a new window). Do check your inboxes for Angus Batey's Organic Intelligence newsletter on the golden age of South London hip-hop, and your podcast feeds for John and I talking about Peter Strickland's Flux Gourmet and Andor, along with a right pumper from Persher. For Sound & Vision subscribers, you'll have had the brilliant new album from Laura Cannell and Lori Goldsten last week, do let us know if you have any issues with that. Low Culture people – if you ungrade your subscription before the 17th November, you'll get that record PLUS Vanishing Twin's Tell Me Not Here (an interpretation of an AE Housman poem), Waclaw Zimpel's Train Spotter (Polish jazz great's ode the Warsaw public transport system in sound) and Hey Colossus 'You Laugh At My Face' (interpretation of Patrick Cowley's Catholic project). You can upgrade here (Opens in a new window). We'll be back this month with a new Low Culture podcast and a Low Culture on Garry Shandling's brilliant The Larry Sanders Show.

To access these exclusive playlists you'll need to become a Quietus subscriber...
