FOTM – Finding of the month

Finding of the month: Next Size. Showing an app icon: washing label on red background. (Opens in a new window)

This finding wasn’t to hard to find and please forgive me this shameless plug. I just released my latest app “Next Size – Kids Clothing“. If you want to forecast your children clothes sizes, this is for you. Buying clothes overseas? Don't worry! Switch between EU, UK, US and Japanese sizesa with a single tap. I’m very grateful for how the app turned out. Read more about my launch experience on → my blog (Opens in a new window).

Website (Opens in a new window) | AppStore (Opens in a new window) | Testflight (Opens in a new window)

The Testflight version has been received quite well. Still a lot of edges, at least from my perspective. Getting the beta out just helps so much to verify your features and keeping the motivation up. Looking forward to chasing the next major release!

Next Size – Kids Clothing: App Icon showing a washing label on red background.

Next Size | App | 1.0.1 | Since 2013

Children clothes size forecast. It's that easy: Next Size estimates the body height of your kids and tells you which clothing sizes will fit when.

Available for iOS, supports 4 languages: German, English, French, Italian and Spanish

Website (Opens in a new window) | AppStore (Opens in a new window)

It was a pleasure to finish the app and finally release it! Unfortunately there were no AppStore features and press coverage was not happening. When I got a mail from John Voorhees that he will include Next Size in the next Club MacStories Newsletter. That was great. Thank you, John!

The beta test for ‘Next Size’ is going well and the release is planned for February 23rd. There is already a build ready on AppStore Connect to be released, but I will use the coming weeks to prepare the launch.

PROTOTYPE PROJECTS

Website (Opens in a new window) | Mastodon (Opens in a new window)

I always do have so many ideas. So it is very important to focus. Last month I did to release the ‘Filmlog’ beta and release ‘Next Size’. Therefore no improvements on ‘Puinte’.

Infolge.org | Website | Since 2015

Infolge.org (Opens in a new window) is a web service for following current affairs, comparing points of view and forming a differentiated opinion.

Available for Web, supports 1 language: German.

Website (Opens in a new window)

I just decided to send my application for the third (and last) time to the prototype fund (Opens in a new window). They fund public interest technology. It will take about 6 months until I will get some feedback, if I made it. So, I can focus on my other projects until then.
