Film Recommendation

It was third time’s a charm for Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos a couple of weeks ago as his latest slice of satirical absurdism, Poor Things, was awarded the top prize at the Venice Film Festival by Damien Chazelle and his fellow Golden Lion jurors. (If you haven’t done so already, I would highly recommend reading Hannah Strong’s red-hot take (Opens in a new window) from the Lido.) In anticipation of the film’s UK theatrical release on 12 January courtesy of Searchlight Pictures, I thought I’d dip into Lanthimos’ balls-out back catalogue for this week’s Members Recommendation.
