A short 30 minute drive through the lovely Bruton and on the Wiltshire boarder, at 160ft stands the magnificent 1722 Alfred's Tower.

Commemorating the end of a Seven Year War and the accession of George III, but named after King Alfred due his success ruling his Anglo-Saxon kingdom.
