Natural Essentials vs Synthetics

Chamomile, source: Wikipedia

As we might explain further in an other post, we do not use Iso E Super aka OTNE (octahydrotetramethyl acetophenone) or other “supermolecules” which so popular now but regarded as highly problematic by us.

Instead, we rely on real natural extracts along with natural-identic aroma components that occur in fruits and flowers, honey etc.

For example, for the musk we use rather expensive (animal-free) also naturally ocurring synthetic muscone and iso-muscone along with another musk ketone and a musk lactone (Velvione and Exaltolide, respectively) as well as a synthtetic recreation of the natural ocurring civetone.

For prototyping, some Fleuressenece and F-Tec bases are used, for instance to replace rather extensive and expensive Jasmine oil with a faithful recreation more mindful of ressources.

Natural absolutes and essential oils and extracts are used where a recreation would require to incorporate an excess of aroma components for instance for the delicate and complex cocoa note or hay absolute.

Also true chamomile is used but the formulation is still in alpha stage and details might change.
